The Ancient People and Plants Laboratory

The Ancient People and Plants Laboratory (APPL) is dedicated to the analysis and interpretation of archaeological plant materials. Resources in the laboratory include a high-powered, polarizing microscope, several sorting stereomicroscopes, microscope photography equipment and software, analytical and precision balances, graduated geological sieves, and a riffle box. The laboratory also houses the UA Modern Seed Reference Collection (UA-MSR).

The Ancient People and Plants Laboratory is located in 415 Mary Harmon Bryant Hall (the Scientific Collections Building). ​
